About this project

Sometimes your head is too full to write anything down. Exhale lets you just say it out loud — to a softly breathing sphere that listens.

What you say is kept in a private journal, and simple analytics show which moods and topics keep coming back. It opens right in the browser and can be added to your home screen like an app.

How do you design an app for the moment when someone feels overwhelmed? Exhale started with that question.

The answer was to keep it calm and simple: one breathing sphere to talk to, a quiet private journal, and analytics that are easy to read. The case study below walks through the idea, the main flow, the voice interaction and the visual language.
