A self-initiated concept film exploring how AI video can hold its own next to traditional luxury fashion advertising — same restraint, same craft, same emotional temperature. No real talent, no studio, no crew.

The piece stages twin protagonists in a quiet monochrome world — a wink at the codes of high-fashion campaigns: graphic styling, sculptural jewellery, intimate gestures and a soundtrack that does most of the talking.

Creative challenge

Make AI video feel like couture.

Most AI video still reads as a demo: warped hands, drifting faces, motion that betrays the model. For a luxury brand, that's instantly disqualifying — the bar is Chanel-grade restraint, not novelty.

The challenge was to direct AI tools tightly enough to produce a film that earns its place in a fashion-week feed — consistent characters, intentional camera, clean light, and gestures that feel observed rather than synthesised.

Production workflow

Directed like a film, not a prompt.

  1. 01

    Concept & moodboard

We start from the brand's world — palette, fabrics, gestures, archive campaigns — and write a tight one-page film treatment before a single frame is generated.

  2. 02

    Character & wardrobe design

AI-crafted talent, styling and accessories built around the brand codes. Twin protagonists, monochrome wardrobe, signature jewellery — every detail directed, not stumbled into.

  3. 03

    Shot list & cinematography

Each beat is storyboarded as if shot on set — lens choice, lighting direction, lock-off vs. dolly, edit pace. The AI is treated as a crew, not a slot machine.

  4. 04

    Generation & curation

Multiple takes per shot across Veo, Runway, Kling and Sora. Only the takes that feel like film — natural motion, consistent character, clean light — survive the cut.

  5. 05

    Edit, grade & sound

Cut to music, color graded in DaVinci Resolve for a high-fashion print-like palette, scored and mixed for cinema delivery. Vertical and square cutdowns built for social.

Director on the project, end-to-end

The film stands as proof of concept for luxury brands considering AI video: with directed craft, the output sits comfortably alongside traditional couture advertising — at a fraction of the budget and timeline, and with full creative control.
